Visnetic Firewall is based on rules, that monitors each incoming or outgoing packet of a network. It can run stand-alone, with network or changing environments. Visnetic Firewall offers customized security through user-defined rule and the possibility to change options as each user wants them to be. The rules can be complicated, but the graphical interface enables you to choose and adjust the options more easily. Extra features such as optional Email Notification on rule violations, password protecting, logging and some more are included. Stateful inspection transfers firewall protection beyond pure packet filtering rather than verifying the packet source and destination, Stateful Inspection ensures the legitimacy of the packet by matching its presence to an actual request. For example, instead of accepting all ping replies, Visnetic Firewall will allow a ping response only following a confirmed ping request. Visnetic has a very detailed setup wizard that will configure the options for you based on a some simple questions and answers about how you use the Internet etc. or you can edit it by yourself later.
