Spam Alarm for POP3 is a multi-level email spam filter that works with any email program by filtering spam directly from the POP3 server, before it even reaches your Inbox. It uses a combination of keyword filtering and heuristic spam signatures that are automatically updated and require no initial setup or configuration. You can however customize the filtering process to make sure that certain messages are never filtered, or always deleted. For this, it offers a white list, black list and flexible filter settings based on headers, subject, sender and email content. The program produced good results without further configuration, however it does not offer the auto-learning features that Bayesian filters provide.
