SoftPerfect Firewall is a rule based network firewall that defends your PC from incoming attacks from the LAN or Internet. Settings based on rules for packet filtering with support for non-IP protocols such as ARP are offered. Different network adapter configurations and allows you to put on rules to all or just the selected interfaces. Learning mode is included, but even in this way good knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networking is needed. Program comes with some already pre-defined rules that enables you to set the most common protocols in a faster way. SoftPerfect Personal Firewall is a usual firewall and application level filtering is not offered.
